Today we will begin reading FTM Chapter 5. Before we begin the reading answer these questions:

Why is Max convinced he does not have a brain?

Is his assessment of himself as a "butthead" correct?

Do our opinions of ourselves affect what others think of us?

Do others' opinions of us affect how we feel about ourselves?

Answer each question in at least one complete sentence on a sheet of paper or in your notebooks.

Freak the Mighty - Wednesday May 11

Today we will be reading Chapter 4 of FTM!

After reading, skim back through the chapter and find one sentence that stands out to you. It could be interesting, puzzling, important, or something you can relate to.

Write that sentence on a piece of paper (can be a half sheet) with your name, date, and period. Explain why you chose that sentence. Include page and paragraph number (pg #, para #).

Then, pair up with a classmate and share your sentence with them. Write down their sentence on your sheet of paper as well (you don't have to write their explanation).
